Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CV Maker at cv.bnj.app, operated by Hugo Software ("we", "us"). By using the service you accept them.
1. What the service is
CV Maker is a document tool. It produces CV / résumé documents as PDF files, generated inside your own web browser, and shows a heuristic checklist about the document's structure.
2. What the service is not
CV Maker does not guarantee that any applicant tracking system (ATS), recruiter or employer will accept, parse, rank or shortlist your CV. The "ATS check" and the keyword comparison are heuristic helpers that look at the structure and wording of your own text; they are not a verdict from any hiring system, and no tool can give one. Hiring conventions differ by country and industry. The service is not career, legal or HR advice.
You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of everything you put in your CV, and for deciding what is appropriate for the role and country you are applying to.
3. Your content
The content of your CV stays on your device. We do not receive it, store it, back it up or restore it. Keep your own copies of anything you need; clearing your browser's site data deletes the draft and the archive permanently.
4. Free use and Pro
The free version has no section limit and no page limit and includes the full checklist. Documents produced with it carry a faint watermark and a "Made with cv.bnj.app" line.
Pro is a subscription that removes those marks and adds the Modern and Compact layouts, the keyword comparison against a pasted job posting and a local archive of several CV versions. Prices are shown in the app before purchase (weekly, monthly and yearly plans, with a 24-hour free trial). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
5. Licence codes
There are no accounts. Pro is unlocked by a licence code in the form BNJ-XXXXXXXX. Treat it as a key: anyone who has it can use the subscription. You may use it on your own devices. Keep a copy — a lost code with no matching Stripe customer cannot always be recovered.
6. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the customer portal linked in the app; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the end of the paid period. Statutory rights of withdrawal, where they apply to you, are unaffected. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged.
7. Refunds
If Pro does not work as described, write to us and we will look at it and refund where that is fair. We do not refund a paid period simply because it went unused, and we do not refund because an application was unsuccessful.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to produce documents that are fraudulent or that impersonate another person. Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the licence check.
9. Availability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro entirely, we will stop charging for it.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including unsuccessful applications, lost employment opportunities, or loss of data stored in your browser.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Turkish law, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
